The Noppoo Lolita 87 is a LED ten key less gaming keyboard that utilizes Noppoo’s own custom switches. Aside from being one of the most attractive 10 key less gaming keyboards on the market, this keyboard features a wonderful assortment of Back-light commands that all use the FN + Arrow keys, an “N key rollover Mode,” as well as a toggle ON/OFF feature for the Windows key. All these features are utilized through on-board memory that require no drivers or software within Windows.
There are a total of six Back-light commands for this keyboard: Fully Back lit, Breathe/Pulsate, Back-lighting Off, and three brightness levels. Beneath the key-caps, one will find a solid red back panel that complements the LED's giving off the illusion of an LED strip going along the key caps for full back-lighting. Another nice touch is the braided mini-USB gold plated cable included along with a key-cap removal tool and additional WASD and ARROW see-through key caps.
I chose to buy this keyboard with Noppoo’s red switches and back-lighting. The keyboard also comes in black switches as well. Noppoo’s switches are made to resemble Cherry MX switches and they do just that. At first, I could not tell the difference between Noppoo’s switches compared to Cherry’s. The keys are not tactile and have identical actuation force compared to Cherry MX reds. Being a fan of Cherry switches, I was hesitant about how good Noppoo’s implementation of their variant would be. However, my hesitance is all but gone. These switches are the real deal and deserve their merit.
After almost a year of being my daily driver, this keyboard has held up to my long gaming session beatings. Noppoo has, in my opinion, successfully made one of the best slash beautiful 10 key-less keyboards on the market and gets my Angry Gamer Certified stamp of approval.
